The famously named Alligator Nose Cottage, is a very unique and cleverly designed zen-like hideaway. This unit is housed in the island tropical garden area and has the most amazing screened porch on the front. It will make you feel as if you are in your own private world of relaxation and calmness, while being surrounded by natural beauty. Although there is a limited ocean view from this unit, you will still be surrounded by lush greenery and chances are, that the local deer will be grazing in your front yard daily. A full kitchen with stove/oven and full size refrigerator, for you to cook your meals if you choose. A loft area that houses the queen bed and 1/2 bath for your convenience. The full bath is on the 1st floor of this unit. There is also a safe in this unit for your use. This cottage is just as comfortable as it is charming, and surrounds you with many tiny details. Breakfast is included with this accommodation from 7 - 9am (last seating at 8:30 please) every morning with a prix fixe menu. Just ask us and we will show you the breakfast choices while you are on property. Cocolobo Resort while it is situated ocean side, does not have direct beach access. However, white sandy beaches are at Half Moon Bay, which is within a short 5 minute stroll from property.

Exactly what we were looking for.
We loved the Alligator Nose. It was a nice bungalow away from other guests, quietly situated in the garden. Sitting by the pool and taking a dip is great - however we also really enjoyed the screened porch for staging our next adventure and a place to regroup. The AC worked great. The fridge is big. The TV and couch inside was perfect for a few nights when we had run out of steam! Do not hesitate- this is a very nice place. For folks wondering, it is super safe to visit and walk to town. A very high percentage of the expats are American retirees = perfectly safe for your travel adventures. Very near Cocolobo - the snorkeling was great however I would encourage you to consider a night snorkel adventure- octopus, turtles, crabs, lobsters, etc. They also treated us really great for my wife's Birthday.

Wonderful Stay
We stayed 11 nights at the Alligator Nose cottage. It was the perfect place for us. Kitchen was equipped with everything needed for preparing meals. Bed was comfy and the shower was great. The screened in porch was surrounded by the beautiful garden and perfect for relaxing. You’ll only be steps away from the common area with loungers and a beautiful sunset view by the pool. Also a home cooked breakfast every morning!! :) Gail and and all the staff ( Johanna, Misa, Jose, and Ceasar) were the absolute best. Also, Gail is a diver so she can point you in the right direction for that. We’re already planning our stay for next year and can’t imagine even needing to consider staying anywhere else Cocolobo is quiet, beautiful, and relaxing and only a 5-10 minute walk to town.

SOOOO Charming
This cute cabin was SO charming and cozy. When we arrived, Cheryl was so warm, and greeted us and gave us a tour of the place and our cabin. The screened in porch is AMAZING! I wanted to stay there and not leave. It was so amazing to sit out on the porch and feel the breeze and have some drinks and enjoy the nature. We were only able to stay a couple nights due to my schedule but we are definitely going back. I can't wait to be back in that porch. The staff are all sweet and just so kind.... If you aren't sure if you want to book, book it. You won't be disappointed!

Lovely cottage
We had a great time at Coco Lobo staying in Alligator Nose cottage. The cottage is very nicely set up and the breakfast and pool facilities are also excellent. Strongly recommended.

This was our 5th time at Cocolobo and we will be returning again! It never disappoints. We love how quiet and relaxing the hotel can be all day long. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The Alligator Nose was a new room for us and we really liked it, loved the porch, spacious kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Cocolobo is very well run. Cheryl and the rest of the staff could not have treated us any better. Can not wait for next year!
